Today is the first day of Hawk 05/06 leadership field camp. Every one woke up bright and early in section 4 to continuing squeezing their stuff in the field pack. Then after another wave of checking and taking the stuff in the field pack out and in, out and in.. we are ready to go…after a very very siong 2 hour road march, we reached our first camp site of the field camp at 11am. – the rubber tree plantation. At around 1.30pm. me and my buddy Jacob finally finished pitching our tent and finish digging the drainage around the basha tent… when we are having our first lecture about the duties of sentry…. –rain already talk so much some more.. bloody hell…
After lunch we continued our lessons of IFC… when doing a demonstration, 2nd LT Ashley threw a thunder flash (a bomb with just explodes and gives off a very loud bang sound) then during the demonstration, he threw the thunderflash next to him when (which is not suppose to do so unless it is a wild boar). When it exploded, sergeant ameer got a shock of his life so funny.. at the point of time.. the only thing that came to my mind was… sergeant ameer look like …ahem… - sorry sergeant…
Today we also learnt some field signals during lunch from 2nd Lt ashley… looking forward to use it. Actually frankly speaking the combat rations taste quite decent… edible la.. at least mine is edible. But some of my platoon mates got like “pontang rice” which taste like shit… and oh yes, I was on camouflage cream on my face the whole day. only able to remove after dinner. Freaking irritating.. keeps forgetting that it is on my face kept wiping the sweat off from my face together with the camo cream… then have to touch up the camo again…
By 8pm, It was pitch darkness in the place. After my first powder bath in the wild with prickly heat, I am writing this in my basha tent with my buddy Jacob. Sleeping next to me..(doesn’t sound correct, but ya). Tomorrow will be a long long day…. Have test… sigh.. how to survive the remaining 6 days?
Countdown ticker Stands at:
